The bridesmaids carried a combination of hot pink celosia, vanda orchids and roses tied with royal blue satin to match their dresses.
Wide‘s boutonniere, a white phalenopsis orchid with greenery, mimicked the bride‘s bouquet.
Bow-topped Louboutin heels kept with the color palette and also served as Mariel‘s "something blue."
While Wide wore a black cutaway tux, his seven groomsmen and the ring bearer sported three-button Calvin Klein tuxedos.
During their ceremony, the couple followed the Cuban ritual of exchanging Arras (coins), to symbolize trust.
Tall glass vases of orchids and manzanita branches anchored the tables. Amber up-lighting, pinspotting and a gobo monogram created a chic reception ambience.
Bubble vases filled with pink orchids were placed on tall acrylic stands. Candles illuminated the creation.
A detailed menu outlined dinner: baby spinach salad, beef tenderloin, lemon risotto and fresh veggies -- the couple’s favorite foods.
Three cake tiers were set on top of acrylic containers filled with hot pink orchids.
They chose "No One," by Alicia Keys, for their first dance, and the night ended with all of their guests dancing in a circle to "The Time of My Life."
Monogrammed white-chocolate-covered Oreos were tied off with tags that read "A Sweet End To A Sweet Night." Half-pints of milk were also on hand.
Mariel and Wide's paths crossed on Mariel’s third day of work at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where Wide also works. They quickly became friends and eventually shared their first kiss on 14th Street and Collins Avenue.

After adding a few vintage details to the decidedly modern decor, the reception evoked the sultry appeal of old Hollywood glamour. Pewter accents and a rich palette of colors created a regal look that was carried throughout the evening.
